Fort Knox Safe Opening Liverpool

Fort Knox Safe Opening Liverpool

When we received the picture of this Fort Knox safe in Liverpool we could tell from the lack of handle and the amount of rust that it would probably not be an easy opening. Looking into the lock with scopes showed a large amount of rust and crud, so much so in fact that we could not determine if the lock was open or not. The lid was rusted solid so before we started hammering away trying to free the lid it was important to ensure that it was unlocked. After some time cleaning out the lock we could finally see that it was indeed unlocked and we could use the ‘Big hammer’ to free the lid. Being in a cellar and given the level of rust we weren’t surprised to see that the safe was full of murky water once opened.

The key had been lost to this Churchill Bulldog floor safe in Childwall, Liverpool. Fortunately the owner had a spare key but unfortunately it was inside the locked safe. Phoenix Fire Fighter 0412 Series

Phoenix Fire Fighter 0412 Series

We were called to this Phoenix safe in Wigan today as the handle would not retract the bolts so they could not shut and lock the door. The safe has a spring loaded self locking mechanism which due to lack of service had detached itself and blocked the boltwork. The fault was repaired and the safe put back into service.

Stratford Sterling Lost Safe Keys

Stratford Sterling Lost Safe Keys

This Stratford Sterling contained the deeds to a property in Anglesey, North Wales which was up for sale but could not complete as the keys to the safe had been lost. Having quoted for the opening we were given the go ahead once they had shopped around for quotes, some of which were more than twice the price. So I had a lovely drive down the North Wales coast today to the job which offered some stunning views, I really do enjoy working in Wales. The safe had been mounted quite high up in the building wall so balancing on a small step I got it picked open much to the relief of the current owner.

Fort Knox Safe Locksmith

Fort Knox Safe Locksmith

This Fort Knox safe was found under the floorboards whilst the owners of the house in Southport, Merseyside were having them revamped. We expected this to be a fairly straight forward job as the lid looked in relatively good condition but we quickly found that the locking bolt had rusted solid. After several hours of attempting to free it we got it to move and were then able to pick the lock open. After a good service a new set of keys were made for the lock and the safe was put back into service.

Cox Gibraltar Safe Opening

Cox Gibraltar Safe Opening

We received an urgent call today to open this Cox Gibraltar safe at a pub in Caernarfon, Wales. We did try to book it in for sometime next week as we are extremely busy at the moment but the circumstances surrounding the missing key meant we needed to get it done today. We therefore agreed to head down there early evening and get it done for them today. It’s always a nice drive through Wales, I just wish I had time to stop and enjoy it sometimes! Once on site the safe was picked open and a new set of keys supplied.
