The keys had been lost to this Churchill Clubman II Safe at a hospital in Lancaster. We picked open the keylock but discovered that the handyman had tried to open it before us and he had broken the handle. We still managed to get it open without any further damage but the safe was now beyond economical repair and they opted to replace it. DIY safecracking is almost always a costly exercise, please leave it to the professionals if you want to save money.
Safe opening
Denward Medicine Trolley Lost Keys
No rest for us safecrackers, lost keys to this Denward trolley on Christmas day meant we had to go to work. The medicine trolley was in a care home in Chorley and the residents were getting desperate for their medication. We picked open the lock to save the day before returning home for some non-alcoholic beverages.
Dudley Home Safe Mk2 Safecracker
It was an honour to open this Dudley safe for a customer in North Wales today. The door would not open despite having the key and it contained items required for the cenotaph service for Remembrance Sunday tomorrow morning.
Hobbs, Hart & Co. Ltd. Safe Lost Keys
When the keys went missing to this Hobbs, Hart & Co. Ltd. safe in Oldham we were called to resolve the problem. We opened the safe and made a new set of keys.
J Cartwright & Son Safe Lost Keys
We don’t have to open many upside down safes but when we do they are always in an awkward position! This J Carwright & Son safe had been fitted into the wall and had been put upside down so that the door opened for easy access to the contents. The keys had gone missing so we picked open the lock and made a new set of keys.
Sistec Guardian Safe Lost Keys – Safecracking in Bradford
An unusual nine lever lock on this Sistec Guardian safe at a nightclub in Bradford. With the keys lost they needed it opening so the lock was picked open for them.
Fort Knox Standard Safe Maghull
Fort Knox Standard safe opened for a client in Maghull. The safe had been overfilled and the contents were preventing the lid from rotating in order to open it. Safe opened without any damage in this instance but a good warning to always leave enough room for the door or lid to operate.
Dudley Safes Lost Keys Newcastle-under-Lyme
Dudley safe surrounded by motorcycles in a dealership picked open and rekeyed. Been a while since I opened a Dudley but it’s just like riding a bike and not exactly sprocket science. A Wheelie good job and a great Triumph but now two tired and exhausted.
Cock Safe Lost Combination
This Cock safe had been neatly built into the wall and would have been a pain to replace when the owner lost the combination. Luckily they called a safe engineer who was able to decode the combination to open it without causing any damage to the safe.
Gun Cabinet Lost Keys Safecracker
When the keys were lost to his gun cabinet the owner called another company who came out to open it for him. Once in his house they advised him that the cabinet would need to be destroyed in order to get his guns out and it would cost him £350. Luckily the gentleman declined this ridiculous offer and called out the professionals. The locks were picked open nondestructively and new locks fitted from stock for a fraction of the cost quoted previously.
