The combination had been lost to this Fire Fyter FF150 safe which we were called to open at a home near Skelmersdale. Opening combination locks isn’t quite like in the movies with the safecracker sanding his fingers and putting on a stethoscope. We do have the skills and techniques to open them however which comes from years of practise and dedication.

We had worked on this safe in the past so knew that the four wheel Sargent and Greenleaf lock had seen better days and it was previously advised to get this replaced. Fortunately with a bit of luck and a lot of experience we diagnosed the problem and were able to correct it to get the door open one final time without having to drill it. The owner agreed to a replacement lock which we fitted and put the safe back into service.

Chubb Bank Vault Door Lost Combination
The new tenants of an ex-bank building in Liverpool had been using this Chubb vault for several weeks with just the key locks as they did not know the combination. As often happens in these circumstances somebody moved the combination dial which locked them out of the vault. We attended the site and determined the combination through the process of manipulation to open the door without damage. We then reset the combination to one of their choosing to enable them to open it themselves in the future.
SLS 1000 Safe Opening Lancashire
The door of this SLS 1000 safe at a pub in Skelmersdale, Lancashire would not open when the correct combination had been dialled. Once the door was open we repaired the handle and lock and put the safe back in to service.
