Emergency call out today to a pharmacy in Liverpool as they could not open this B&Q safe. There was only one key available to the safe which upon inspection had a broken key bit which was the cause of the issue. We opened the door none destructively only to have the door nearly fall on us as the top hinge had broken. You can see the drag marks at the bottom of the door showing that this has been like this for quite some time. Given the low value of the safe we advised that it was beyond economical repair and a replacement should be purchased.

This Rottner Comsafe Monaco safe would not open despite the customer having a working key. Burton KG 3000 Keyguard Safe Opening
We were called to this Burton KG 3000 Keyguard Safe at a care home in Southport. Part of the key had broken off in the lock and although they had managed to remove the key they were unable to open the safe with the spare key. We identified and resolved the problem by modifying the broken key to reset the lock and allow the spare key to operate the safe once again.

Dreadnought Defender ABP Safe Opening
This Dreadnought Defender ABP underfloor safe at a petrol station in Bromborough, Wirral would not open with the key. Initial inspection showed that the lock was loose and we could see that one of the three relocking devices had activated which meant that this was going to be a drill open job. Having drilled through the extremely tough lid it became apparent that all three relockers had fired which meant a second hole had to be made to deactivate them and finally allow the bolts to be withdrawn to open it.
Fort Knox Underfloor Safe Opening
The owner could not open this Fort Knox underfloor safe at a motor parts shop in Leigh, Greater Manchester despite having two keys for it. The safe hadn’t been opened for a number of years and a look inside the lock with our specialised optical equipment showed that it was full of rust. It took a while but eventually we got it open to find it was full of water so hardly surprising that the lock had seized after being submerged for so long.
