This Secure Safes Coventry under floor safe was found whilst renovating a property in St Helens, Merseyside. Given the condition of it from the picture we had received we thought this may have been a tricky one. The handle was missing and the lid was largely covered in rubble and dust which are not good for safe locks. We started by vaccuuming around the lid to clean it and prevent any further stones from getting into the lock and causing us problems. Looking at the lock with our optical tools showed that several larger stones had fallen inside and were going to cause issues so we had to deal with those prior to attempting to pick it. Once they were out of the way we found the lock to be very gritty and needed a bit of lubrication in order to get it moving and to finally allow us to pick it open.

Dreadnought E Series II Safe Opening
This Dreadnought E Series II Safe was found by the new owners of a home in Preston and was initially thought to be a sewer pipe. We would normally pick the locks open on these but initial signs were not good, the handle was missing and we could see water in the keyhole which could only mean that the safe lid was sitting in water and probably had been for a number of years. With everything seized we had no option but to drill this one open and unsurprisingly found the entire safe to be filled with water.
Securikey Under Floor Safe No Keys
The new owners of a home in Goostrey, Cheshire found this locked Securikey under floor safe and wanted to put it to use. We picked it open and fitted a replacement lock with a new set of keys.
Secure Safes (Coventry) Ltd Floor Safe
The owner of this Secure Safes (Coventry) Ltd floor safe could not get it open despite having a set of keys. We headed out to the job in Derbyshire and after a two hour drive we got it open without having to damage the safe in any way.
Fort Knox Safe Cracker
Another Fort Knox underfloor safe cracked by Paladin Safe Services. The safe was found hidden under a 1980’s newspaper where presumably it had laid undisturbed until today. We picked open the lock and provided a new set of keys so that it could start to be used again. We have opened dozens of these safes but have never seen one with a red escutcheon covering the key hole. Perhaps this was a special edition of some sort.
Floorboard Underfloor Safe Opening
This underfloor safe was discovered after living in a property in Skelmersdale for six years. With no keys available they were intrigued as to its contents and wanted to be able to use the safe. Not quite the closest safe we have opened but being in Skelmersdale made it a very local job. We picked the lock open so as not to damage the safe and replaced the lock to provide a new set of keys.
Fort Knox Chancellor Under Floor Safe
This Fort Knox Chancellor Under Floor Safe hadn’t been opened for at least thirty years as no keys were left when the home owners purchased the property. During some renovations they decided to get us in to uncover its mysteries. We attended the property in Liverpool and opened it up for them.
Fort Knox ‘Square door’ safe opening
A Fort Knox ‘Square door’ under floor safe opened for a customer in Liverpool after the safe keys had been lost. We routinely open the round door versions but don’t see many of these rectangular lids, nice to see something different for a change.
Churchill Domestic Underfloor Safe Lost Keys
The keys had been lost to this Churchill Domestic underfloor safe at a property in Lytham St. Annes in Lancashire. We opened the safe and provided a new set of keys.
Fort Knox Floor Safe No Keys
A home owner in Stoke-on-Trent discovered this Fort Knox Safe after ten years of living in the property and asked us to open it up. We have opened lots of these safes but this one had a very different lock to what we were expecting. This complicated the job somewhat but we still managed to open it up for them.
