Safeplace Hotel Safe

Safeplace Hotel Safe Opening

This Safeplace Magna 800 Digital Hotel Safe would not open when the correct code was entered. We attended the Hotel overlooking Lake Windermere in the Lake District to open and repair it as they urgently required access to the contents. Once on site we discovered that the top bolt was not retracting but we were able to open it without any damage and reattach it to the boltwork. A nice clean job leaving a fully functional safe with no holes to fill. Another professional safe opening completed by Paladin Safe Services.

Blackspur BB-ES100 Digital Safe

Blackspur BB-ES100 Electronic Safe Opening

This Blackspur electronic safe had been left by the previous tenant at an apartment in Manchester. The keypad was not responding possibly due to flat batteries and no key had been left for the override lock. The new tenant just wanted to remove it to make space but it was bolted to the floor so needed to be opened in order to move it. We attended and opened it without damage despite it heading for the nearest skip.

Securikey Safeguard Under Floor Safe

Securikey Safeguard Under Floor Safe

This Securikey Safeguard under floor safe was discovered by the owner after ten years of living at the house. This meant that it hadn’t been opened for over ten years, it was missing it’s handle and it had a snapped key jammed in the keyway so this was never going to be an easy opening.

With very little of the key to grab on to and it being rusted in the key guide we had a big fight just to get it out. Once extracted we could take a good look into the lock but what we saw was rust and slime, we tried to pick it but nothing at all was moving so not even the correct key would have opened it. With a lot of persuasion we got it open to discover that it was completely full of water so no wonder it had seized up so badly.

Secure Safes (Coventry) Under Floor Safe

Secure Safes (Coventry) Under Floor Safe

This Secure Safes (Coventry) safe was found by the new owners of a property in Golborne Warrington. They had a locksmith out prior to us who only managed to break the handle off. They then called us to open it as they wanted to check if there was anything in it prior to screeding over it with concrete. It took us a lot longer than expected but as always we stick to our fixed price opening quote, we were grateful for the tip though and we were able to keep the lid for our collection of spare parts.

Electronic Digital Safe

Electronic Digital Safe Opening

We were asked to open this digital safe at a residence in Liverpool as the keypad stopped responding and the over-ride keys could not be found. We were told that the batteries had been changed recently so we suspected that the cover may not have been fitted correctly and they had fallen out. We picked the lock open to discover that the batteries had been inserted the wrong way around.

A useful tip when changing any sort of combination or batteries on a safe is to check the operation at least three times with the door open. If something does go wrong then it is always easier to resolve the issue with the door open.

We completed this job by changing the lock and providing two new keys so that the owner can get into the safe should the batteries fail in the future.
