The key and combination had been lost to this Hilka Digital Home Safe S-50EA(II) in Lytham St Annes due to a bereavement and we were asked to sort out the problem. We picked the lock open and changed the cylinder to provide a new set of keys and reset the combination to put it back into service.
The owner of this Digital home safe in Ormskirk, Lancashire could not open his safe. The last time it was opened it seemed that the batteries were flat so he changed them and locked it up again. Unfortunately the digital lock would no longer open the safe and the key had been lost. We arrived on site twenty minutes after receiving the call and had it open within a couple of minutes. This Safeplace Magna 800 Digital Hotel Safe would not open when the correct code was entered. We attended the Hotel overlooking Lake Windermere in the Lake District to open and repair it as they urgently required access to the contents. Once on site we discovered that the top bolt was not retracting but we were able to open it without any damage and reattach it to the boltwork. This Blackspur electronic safe had been left by the previous tenant at an apartment in Manchester. The keypad was not responding possibly due to flat batteries and no key had been left for the override lock.
